Painter for a Residential Building - Temporary Position

Responsibilities:

• Prepare painting surfaces by cleaning walls, repairing holes, and ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for painting.
• Apply coats of paint, varnish, or other finishes to residential units, including walls, ceilings, and trim, using brushes, rollers, or sprayers.
• Mix and match paint colors to ensure consistency and accuracy in the final finish.
• Protect surrounding areas from paint drips and spills by using drop cloths, masking tape, and other protective materials.
• Monitor inventory levels of paint and supplies and communicate any needs to the maintenance supervisor.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a painter, preferably in a residential setting.
• Proficiency in preparing surfaces and applying various finishes using different painting techniques.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent time management skills and ability to meet project deadlines.
• Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require bending, stooping, and lifting.
• Must have good English language skills

Job Type: Temporary

Pay: $17.19 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
